Our ESG Committee ensures this vision is carried forward with transparency, collaboration, and measurable results.


Environmental Stewardship
Building Greener Operations for a Healthier Planet
We are reducing our footprint through practical, scalable changes across our operations. Our approach focuses on improving how we manage resources, energy, and waste, all while helping clients meet their sustainability goals through smart logistics solutions.
From facility-wide recycling programs to expanding renewable energy use, we take active steps to reduce waste and divert materials from landfills.
Our warehousing options, traditional, automated, and hybrid, help clients optimize efficiency while reducing energy consumption.
We support our partners' own green initiatives by sharing best practices and developing shared sustainability goals.
Future NLS facilities will support renewable energy, feature MHE battery chargers that consume 30% less electricity, and expand EV parking and community gardens.
Through client partnerships and programs like Soles4Souls, we aim to double our donation impact and reduce waste-to-landfill.
NLS will launch the first Employee Environmental Awareness Campaign to foster a workplace-wide culture of environmental responsibility.
Social Responsibility

Our strength comes from our people. We believe that a thriving workforce and connected communities are essential to our long-term success. That’s why we invest in meaningful programs that support personal growth, foster inclusivity, and give back to those around us.
Through the NLS Learning Institute, we offer year-round training tailored to employee roles and growth paths. In 2025, we aim for a 60% internal promotion rate.
Our employee-led council and DE&I Champions promote inclusivity, while all managers complete annual Inclusive Leadership Training in partnership with CCDI.
Our goal is 50% women in leadership roles. We support this through mentorship programs, networking events, and wellness workshops.
NLS offers immigration resources and pathways to permanent residency for new Canadians.
The upcoming STEM/Supply Chain Scholarship Program will support employees' children in high-demand fields.
With a target of 1,000 volunteer hours in 2025, our team will continue giving back through partnerships with Big Brothers Big Sisters, MS Canada, and Soles4Souls.

Our three-tier approach focuses on physical, mental, and workplace wellness. We have a vision of zero injuries with a goal of reducing our injury rates by 10% in 2025.
All employees complete annual Code of Conduct training and acknowledge new policies to maintain ethical standards.
With evolving regulations, our infrastructure is continuously updated to safeguard client and partner data.
The ESG Committee sets annual materiality targets aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Our Executive Team reviews progress quarterly and annually.
